Our City,what happened ?
People without jobs and education
violence, depression,
child abuse, shootings, killings and suicides
people living on the streets
people goin’ to sleep hungry
no more dreams. just tryin’ to survive everyday
this city
my city, your city, our city
used to be a palace
can’t it be a palace again?
or just liveable,
is that too much to ask?

THE COLD NIGHT
The cold wind is blowing
I can hear noices
cars and people out celebrating
a bird is singing in the tree
but is there anyone who knows
that here stands a lonely man
missing what he once had
does anyone know
does anyone care
is there anything left?
or do I have to face
the cold night,
alone forever ?
